Part healer, part house party/lounge denizen, A. Billi Free shares content that highlights the beauty of self-discovery with a tone that cures. She grew up singing jazz and choral music in Dayton/Springfield, Ohio (birthplace of funk, pop star John Legend). As a sociology student performing venues during free time in Chicago, the undeniable influence of live house, electronica and underground hip-hop music and venues would blend with her past training to create a fun, soulful vibe. Although she’s currently rocking and residing in New Mexico and the surrounding Southwest coast, she’s performed at some of Chicago’s legendary venues such as Funky Buddha Lounge, Second City, Abbey Pub and Subterranean. A. Billi Free has shared the stage and collaborated with artists such as Rashaan Ahmad, Xenia Rubinos, Wheelchair Sports Camp and Luckyiam of the Living Legends.
